Editing techniques:

 Editing process:

In creating the final product I invested a lot of time into the post production aspect since the idea behind the music video was that it was going to be heavily edited and montaged. In the final products effects such as overlaying, filters, stamp text and flashing footage was used. Creating and using these effects took a lot of experimentation and practice with actually learning how to make it possible and also with the placement and timing as it was key for certain elements to happen at certain times. In my opinion the most successful effect was the split screens with all the different flashing shots as it was extremely aesthetically pleasing and rewarding to do.

Making a number of different things (footage and text) appear on screen at once meant creating numerous different layers and stacking them up and then lengthening or shortening them accordingly so that they appeared on screen at specific times, in time to the music. This was the most time consuming element because I had to be so specific with the times so that it was in-sync.
